Biography - Chris C. Nolan
From as early as I can remember, I've had an
intense interest in the visual arts. My Aunt June was an amateur
oil painter and summers were spent near Cape Cod where I watched
her paint seascapes. I thought of the creation of a painting as
something magical and still do.
Many years later I graduated with a degree in
elementary education, but I never lost my enthusiasm for the visual
arts. While teaching I found it very difficult to make time to
paint. Soon I was enjoying taking reference photos as much as the
painting.
So started my obsession with photography. I left
teaching to pursue photography - landscape, close-up, floral, abstract
and more recently, black and white through the magic of digital
processing. I've also started creating digital art pieces from
the photography, bringing me full circle back to art. I hope you
